Corey Sims received his Bachelor's Degree in Music from Boston’s Berklee College of Music and also studied classical guitar at UNC-Chapel Hill. 

He is mostly self-taught on the piano with some help from his sister and grandmother.

Joining his first band at age 13, Corey has since played in several bands all over North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina and Georgia. 

His most exciting musical adventures include playing trumpet with a street parade band in New Orleans and also playing piano in restaurants in Germany! What fun!!

In addition to teaching and performing, he tunes and repairs pianos.
